I want to be a dentist but I have a problem?

Dentist seem a lot less grueling and it is not as stressful having to be in control of people’s lives but I have a problem.

I brush my teeth twice a day but some of my teeth are crooked and my mom is way too poor to afford braces for me. I wanted to know if it will be a determing factor in my carreer?

Is it like one of those come as you are things that they say to you in church? You can come as you are but if you dress as you are people start looking at you funny even though it says come as you are?

I don’t want to be a dentist with crooked teeth. It would be like being a breast implant surgeon with flat breast or a very overwieght gym coach.

Should I try and get braces or can I wait till later to do all of that in college?

My bottom canine teeth areslightly turned about 20 degrees towards the outside of my mouth. There are also a few gaps between my top canine teeth and the ones next to it.

Will this create a problem for me becoming a dentist?

of course not!! im a dentist and at the place where i work there are about 5 people i can name that have crooked teeth and i also no people who work at an orthadontist and they have crooked teeth but if you’re that self conscience then go to college, get a NICE job, then get braces they’re only about $4,000 and you go to college for 4 years so when you apply you will probably have your braces off! TIP: whiten your teeth at the place i work they look for white teeth! GOOD LUCK!!

Yes, they have been around for a while. It’s a bit ridiculous to try to imagine, but basically some women who have had saline implants choose to have a valve in their armpit, where they can feed a tube through and inject additional saline into the implant shell to expand it.

Saline Breast Implants, rejections?

I had a bilateral masectomy 18 months ago and went through the expander process and permanant saline implants put in. At times they feel stiff and sore, especially in the evenings. When I do use my chest muscles, like lifting ladders and shoveling snow I really notice them. How does it feel when your body rejects them. Also, any opinion about tram flaps and deet procedures?

Perhaps they went a little large, also you likely need physical therapy to recover completely… Why did they do saline and not silicone for reconstrucion? Silicone tends to be much much softer and way less stiff.
It doesn’t sound like you are experiencing rejection.

ps. My goodness you are less than 2 years from having major reconstructive surgery perhaps you shouldn’t be shoveling snow and lifting ladders at this point, you ought to build up to it
