Silicone Implants And Mri
Does anyone have saline implants and love or hate them?
After four kids, I am finally getting implants and a nipple lift in a few months. I am leaning towards getting saline implants for many reasons. I know that silicone has been proven safe, but i have read and heard lots of stories of the damage they can cause if they leak. Also the silicone costs 2000 more than the saline, and I would have to get MRI’s every two years to check for leakage which is not covered by insurance, which i cannot afford as i hear that a mri costs about 2000-3000 dollars. My doctor said that i will acheive what i want with the saline implants and that he has never had a patient dislike their saline implants. I am just not sure because some people say saline some people say silicone. What do you think?
i would go with the saline. my sister had implants done a few years ago and she did saline. she has enjoyed them and has had no problems. also silicone is not something that is natural to the body so if it does leak (although proven harmless, not that i buy into that) your body will go haywire trying to figure out what it is and what to do with it. with saline it is something your body recognizes as ok so it would cause no problems to your health. i go say go the safer route. they actually feel more real then the silicone too. good luck and take care
