There are two popular types of breast implants:
1. Saline Breast Implants. The saline comes from a sterile salt-water filled silicone rubber. It is filled during the surgery and maybe inserted through a smaller incision. This type of breast implant allows a minor modification in the implant size during the operation.
2. Silicone breast implant is one of the by-products of silicone rubbers. As it is pre-filled, it is not like that of saline which requires help from saline solutions to be injected in the implant itself. Because of the so-called pre-filling, the possibilities of incision take a longer time and are usually dependent on the size.
