Breast Implants Hurt After Mammogram
My mum’s partner found a lump in her breast around the nipple area. She is 55, had no pain?
She has had Silicone Implants since the 80′s and has had them checked many times and they seemed to be in perfect condition, even after all that time. She hasn’t had any problems with them at all. She has been having regular mammograms since she was first called for them due to her age, and the last one in October was clear. Now, in May she has a lump. She has been referred to the cancer clinic for further tests. I am beside myself with worry and would just like to know if anybody else has had a similar issue that give me some more information. The lump is not painful, but obviously the exam to feel for it hurt. The G.P could not say for sure what it was, hence the referral I suppose. Any helpful advice would be so gratefully received.
Lumps are quite common in the breast in women and 95 per cent are benign. She should be fine but just wait for the results to come back, she should be fine
Do some reading to find how rare it is, it helps.
